I am a great believer in masonry paint, and this weathershield by Dulux is one of the best. It covers very well, goes on easily, and lasts may years. It is a few years since I bought this, so I have no idea of the cost. Weathershield is a water based paint, produced for brick and cement surfaces, it is available in smooth, and textured finishes. "Another Boots review, but not the shop!"

I found my Cat boots at a car boot sale, never worn, just a little scuffing from being kicked about, and at the bargain price of £2.50, haggled down from £3. I got them home, and set to cleaning them, using good old Kiwi boot polish. They came up a treat.I am assuming that from new, these boots were finished in a matt nubuck effect, and required polish to be added to provide waterproofing. The laces are of very good quality, as are the boots themselves. The soles are non slip, very comfy, and absorb shocks to the heels.
