Almay Smart Shade is the drugstore answer to Smashbox O-Glow: a product that creates a natural blush on any skintone. Unlike Smashbox, though, Almay's Smart Shade Blush comes in three shades: Pink, Berry, and Neutral. Your results with each shade will be slightly different.
The neutral shade is a warm shade, and is probably the best choice for olive and dark complexion. I thought, when I heard about it, that the Berry would look darker than the Pink, which is typical in cosmetics, but actually the Berry was lighter. Although my skin is very pale, I went with the slightly darker Pink/Rose (010), hoping that it would look natural and make me look healthy, instead of the deathly pallor that is my natural shade.
The product comes out white, but once applied to the skin, it changes color. Like O-Glow, it is supposed to give a natural blush, and I found that it actually did. It gives me a delicate pink shade that doesn't overwhelm my fair skin. It stays on all day, and comes off easily with a mild cleanser - no need for make-up remover. For $8.99, this will be my choice for a natural blush.
