Beauty / Cosmetics / Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

beauty cosmetics eyeliner image

I'm always strolling down the beauty aisles in stores.  Most times I am just "window" shopping and don't have a need to buy anything.  On my last trip to Meijers I found myself in the beauty aisle again (imagine that!).  I came across a huge sign that said Revlon Products ~ 50% off!  Are you serious?  I must have stood in front of all the cosmetics for a good 30 minutes.  I felt like a kid in a candy store.

I just happened to have a coupon for $1.00 off any Revlon product in my purse.  Woo hoo!  Now the hard part......what to choose?  I picked the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Navy.  I seem to always be losing my eyeliner.  No, I don't mean that I literally lose it, more that it disappears once I put it on my eye lids.  I appy liner in the morning and less than two hours later ~ it's MIA!  This Colorstay eyeliner is different.  It stays on my eyelids until I take it off.  The package says it lasts up to 16 hours.  Let me see........I apply it at 8am and I take it off at midnight.......so yes, that is truthful advertising!  It would probably last the remainder of a 24 hour day, but it sounds like they hope you remove it at 16 hours and get a good 8 hours of sleep!

I really love this shade of eyeliner.  My eyes are light blue and this shade of navy compliments my eye color.  I cannot use a black eyeliner because it looks too harsh with my skin tone.  Applying the eyeliner the first time was a bit difficult.  It is a crayon type eyeliner and you really need to soften the tip up a bit before you try to apply it.  I did this by gently rubbing my finger across the tip a couple of times.  Once you do that you are ready to experience a fabulous eyeliner.

It has a built in sharpener, which I didn't realize it had until I read the instructions.  It is at the bottom of the eyeliner pencil.  Simply pull it out of the bottom, twist up the crayon and put the sharpener on the crayon and turn until you have a point on it again.  Replace the sharpener back in the bottom and you now have a perfectly sharpened eyeliner again.

This was quite a bargain for me, not only was it on sale for 50% off but I had a $1.00 off coupon too!  My end cost was only $2.50.  Regular price of the eyeliner at Meijers was $7.00.  I'd definately buy this product again even without a coupon or it being on sale.  That says alot for Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner because I rarely buy anything at full retail price, just ask my family!
