Beauty / Dermabrasion / Simple Way to Improve Your Skins Appearance

A couple of years ago, I decided to splurge on myself and buy the Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System. It was advertised as a product that you could easily use at home and would improve the look of your skin. I'm generally skeptical of such claims, so I did some research online and found many satisfied customers. I had to try this for myself.

The kit consists of a battery powered applicator with two speeds. The original kit came with a jar of cream. The sponge on the applicator is dipped into the cream, dabbed onto the face in several areas, then applied with the device that vibrates as you slowly move it across your skin. The cream has a rough texture that reminds me of sand.

After spending about 2 minutes on each area, I rinsed the cream off. I found it a bit difficult to remove by simply rinsing my face and have since made a habit of using it before I shower. It rinses off easily in the shower.

Last year, I remodeled my bathroom and mistakenly stored my kit in a place that wasn't easily visible. Over time, I forgot about it. I have become aware of my skin looking dull as I get older and remembered my Neutrogena kit. I looked for it and used it a few days ago.

I pulled my hair back and got my bangs off my face. I sat in a chair with a hand mirror and decided to do just one side first to see if I could notice any change.  It wasn't long before I could see a huge difference in the two sides of my face. The dermabrasion cream had brightened the one side considerably. It actually had a glow to it! I finished my entire face and also used it on my neck. After showering, I was amazed at how much better my skin looked. It just looked fresh and younger. The dull skin was gone. I knew right then that I was going to put this product in a place where I'd see it and remember to use it regularly.

Not only does this make your skin look better, it softens it dramatically. None of my moisturizers make my skin feel this soft with absolutely nothing on it.

Another great use for this is on your hands. It made my hands look much younger and amazingly soft. This was after just one use and you can be sure I will continue to use it on my hands regularly.

After rediscovering the wonderful results of this product, I wanted to buy another jar of cream. Instead of the cream, they now have individual puffs that fit on the applicator and are disposable. I bought a package of 24 puffs, which cost $16.97. I have not yet tried them, but I expect they will be just as effective as the cream. The directions recommend that it be done 3 times a week, however I feel that with sensitive skin, that may be too much.

As one who will never consider paying for the expensive treatments, I am thrilled with this product. It works great for me, even after just one use. I have sensitive skin and eczema, but using this caused no irritation to my skin. My skin looks brighter and healthier already. I plan to use it regularly now and look forward to even better results over time.

  1. this is very interesting! i wonder if we have this product in our local market. so sorry, i no longer have votes on this category. maybe if i regain my SS. but anyway, i just wonder if your face has pimple marks that have deepend through time and if this product has sort of "shallowed" them? I have lots of holes on my face because i used to prick my pimples. now the holes have deepened with age. i dont want collagen injection because it is expensive and has to be done regularly. thanks!

  2. I don't have pimple scars, so I can't answer your question about it. However, I remember reading something about that topic online. Perhaps you can do a search and see if you find someone who can answer your question.
