I bought myself a Chi flat iron after hearing so many great things about them! I was able to get a good deal on my at our local Ulta store. I believe I received a $20.00 discount and paid $99.99 plus tax.
This Chi is 1 inch and has ceramic plates. I think the 1 inch is sufficient if you have shoulder length hair that is not too thick. You might think about getting a bigger flat iron (inch wise) if your hair is extremely thick and/or long.
This flat iron is very easy to use. You plug it in and turn the flat iron on. Then you section off pieces of your hair to straighten. Start at the top by your head and put the hair between the flat iron, clamp and slide down.
This flat iron does the best job at getting your hair straight and keeping it straight. What I also like is that you have a 1 year warranty with the flat iron. Mine came with a travel pouch. It is used to be able to safely travel with your Chi and keep it safe.
