The road has been a bit longer than we thought, but we’re finally approaching the launch of our Contributor Beta release. Hopefully the anticipation has built more than it’s dwindled over the last few weeks that we’ve been a little too quietly coding away, but rest assured the app is pretty much done and we’re now in full debugging and polish mode.
Little did we know when we first started building the beta that we would need 70% of the final release completed to make everything work properly. Although it may have taken us a bit longer than anticipated to get this release out the door, the good news is that our full launch will not be far behind and is still looking to hit the community on schedule. Based on how things look so far, we’ll be sending out our notice for the beta launch date sometime next week, so stay tuned
In other news, we’re planning to launch a few widgets and plugins for blogging tools and other social networking sites around the same time as the full launch. Our first step along that path is a facebook group for SharedReviews. Make sure you join if you have a Facebook account so you can share your two cents on how we should design the Facebook app that’s in the works. Remember, the key to generating revenue in the community will be community favor, and the more people that read and vote for your reviews the more money you make, so leveraging your established networks on other sites is a great way to increase your earnings.
