Books Movies & Music / Fiction Books / Dan Brown's Angels Demons

I decided to pick this up as something to read on the train while the whole The DaVinci Code controversy was going on. This book had a really nice cover, so I decided to give it a go. Now I can see how Dan Brown got his raves and reviews.

Dan Brown is one hell of a good writer and has an amazing skill of conveying vivid imagery through writing. Brown's descriptions of settings is extravagant, almost as if he went to said places himself. The action sequences are pretty nicely written as well, maybe even in a way that can't be beat even if it was captured in a movie.

The story of this book is fast-paced and riveting, with twists and plot devices that are both original and shocking. The twists are especially intense, because you never see them coming and they blow you away when you realize what happened.

Overall, I recommend this book. It has it all: excellent writing, a good story, and interest to keep reading.
