The Eragon books are mainly about magic, fighting, getting through life and well maybe love. The first eragon movie well frankly stinks and to the best of my knowledge every book that has a movie on it, well the book is always better because usually the movies miss out good or important bits from the book. That is the main problem with book movies these days. The 3 eragon books have been ok but i think the third one kinda spoilt the surprises of thigns like brom is eragons father. The books overall are interesting and are fun to read over and over like harry potter but they will eventually get boring because of all the details that you have to read or the lengthy conversations that the main character has with other minor or major people in the book. These books i recommend to fiction readers, people who like fantasy and adventure. i think its for people 12 years old or above and overall, i think these books are ok and they may be ig but i think that they are a good read. plus i like dragons......:)
