Donnie Darko: The Director's Cut DVD is an instant cult-classic movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal as the title character, a high school student who is going through a rough time emotionally.  He is suffering from boughts of insomnia, and when he does sleep, he ends up waking up in odd places.  At one point, this is a good thing, because an engine from an airplane falls through the roof of his parent's house, and lands in his bed, which would have killed him if he were in it.   Also starring in the movie are his real-life sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, as his sister, and Drew Barrymore as a teacher in Donnie's high school.  I really enjoyed this movie when I first saw it, and each time i watch it I am still intrigued by it.  The movie is full of special features, including a commentary by the director, and a featurette about how the movie became such a fan-favorite.
