The gang is on vacation in Australia. They go to a music contest at Vampire Rock and find that bands have been getting kidnapped by a vampire. They go undercover as "Those Meddling Kids" to find the truth.

The story is easy to follow and suitable for all viewers.

The atmosphere is not very scary. Australian is an exotic setting but it doesn't offer a spooky feeling.

The Hex Girls returns as the girl punk band that last appeared in "Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost" (1999).

Most viewers will be happy to know that the art and characters looks like the original. Being set in the outback, the scenes are not as colorful as in other Scooby movies.

Two of the original voice actors return here. Casey Kasem voices Shaggy and Frank Welker voices Scooby-Doo and Fred. Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Gos voices Dusk of "The Hex Girls."

This movie has several great songs including, Krystal Harris sings Scooby-Doo Where Are You?, Holland Greco sings Getaway Yeah, Kimberly Brooks, Jennifer Hal, and Jane Wiedlin sing Hex Girl, and Jane Wiedlin sings Who Do Voodoo?

The DVD is jam-packed with extras including, Audio Commentary done by Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and Fred, Get the Beat with Scooby-Doo and Shaggy!, Monster Factory, Family Favorites, and sneak peeks of 3 Scooby-Doo Mystery Adventures PC games (Showdown in Ghost Town, Jinx at The Sphinx, and Phantom of the Knight).

Scooby-Doo! And the Legend of the Vampire really captures the old school Scooby-Doo feeling and is safe for children of all ages.
