Books Movies & Music / Movie HD/DVDs / The Overplayed Search For One's Parents Done Right

ones parents hddvds image review done city image

A little boy, Evan Taylor, grows up in a godawful orphanage where he is bullied and his friends don't stand up for him. The only thing that keeps him going is the feeling he receives after listening to music, even if it is just the wind against the leaves. To him this sound carries the voice of his parents, who are still alive and real. Evan knows that the music is a part of him, which is not far off to say because his mom is a famous cellist and his father a lead singer in a band. When confronted with the fear of moving orphanages, to a place where his parents won't be able to come and find him, he is in shock and doesn't know how to react. The night he hears this, he runs away to the city, in search of his parents. The next day he begins his search wandering the streets of New York looking for a place to stay so he can rethink his plan and have a nice meal to eat. On his way, he meets a child street performer named Arthur who works for The Wizard, played by Robin William. Arthur leads him to a place where he can sleep for the night. During the night he awakes and starts playing Arthur's guitar for the first time in his life. The Wizard hears him and makes Evan work for him with a new name, August Rush. The idea that went behind this movie was an extremely original twist on an overplayed theme. The addition of music to move along the story and create a connection between August and his parents is truly remarkable. The execution of the movie being split between August's search for his parents and his parents trying to find each other created a balance most suitable for any movie. I also have to credit Robin WIlliams, the usual comedic actor, for playing a serious role incredibly. In conclusion, this is a movie I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to watch a good movie. I give this movie a 9/10, two thumbs up, and four stars. So watch this movie and enjoy the music.
