As Twilight fans know, the movie Twilight originates from the Twilight series of books by Stephenie Meyer. I myself have read all the Twilight book series more times than I can count; it is for that reason that I consider myself to be something of an expert on this particular topic. One of the first issues that I would like to discuss is a question that I have been asked a number of times: "Is the movie the same as the book?" My answer to this is almost exactly.
As with any other book that gets translated into a movie, there are some minor discrepancies which can be found. Does this alter the experience of the movie? Not at all! This is by far the best movie that I have ever watched and I' not just talking about Vampire movies either. This movie has something that I have felt that the movie world has been lacking in lately, IMAGIONATION!
Stephanie Meyer did an absolutely amazing job creating the book. It is my personal opinion that Stephenie Meyer has created a new and extremely interesting new Vampire trend. I myself am an aspiring writer and I know that I for one have been strongly influenced by her Vampire theories. Stephenie Meyer has taken the traditional blood sucking, cross and garlic fearing Vampires and has made some wonderful creations of her own.
This is beautifully reflected in the movie. Honestly, no one could have picked a better cast for this movie. Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen, suits his role to perfection. He brings Edward Cullen's character to life. His stunning good looks peg him as an instant heart throb. Ladies beware one look at this Vampire Stud Muffin and your hearts will no longer be your own.
I have to admit that when I learned that Kristen Stewart was to be cast as Bella Swan, I was a little skeptical. After watching Twilight however, my fears were put to rest. Kristen plays the role of Bella Swan to perfection; she seems to literally become Bella Swan. The chemistry between her and Robert is nothing short of amazing. You find yourself forgetting that these cast members are acting and aren't the actual people that they portray.
The Cullen family is brought to life nicely. Alice Cullen, who is played by Ashley Greene, makes the perfect Alice. She was just as I had imagined her from the book. Emmet Cullen played by Kellan Lute, IS Emmet. Even Nikki Reed brings the beautiful and not always nice Rosalie Hale, to life. She also seems to give her character a new dimension. Dr Carlisle Cullen is played by Peter Fancinelli.
Can we say hello doctor? Main if my doctor looked like Carlisle Cullen, I would find an excuse to visit my local doctor's office every day. The movie Twilight has a little something for everyone. Comedy, action, horror, suspense, and even romance, are abundant in every aspect of this movie. This is definitely a MUST SEE movie and it doesn't matter if you are a fan of Stephenie Meyer's work or not. Overall I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone, I know it is one that I will enjoy watching over and over again.
