Books Movies & Music / Non Fiction Books / A Cookbook That Does More Than Offer Great Recipes

I love to cook and have been doing so since I was 7 years old. I have also been collecting cookbooks since I was probably 12 or 13.  One of my favorite cookbooks is Alton Brown's I'm Just Here for the Food: Version 2.0.

If you're a fan of Food Network there's a good chance you've seen Alton Brown on one of his many shows. Well known for his scientific approach to cooking, Alton describes how different cooking applications can be used to create different results with the same ingredients.

In this cookbook Alton gives a thorough explaination of different cooking methods, plus recipes that are made with those methods.

One of my favorite features of this cookbook is the magnets. The magnets are like maps of animals. For example, the cow is cut into sections showing where each cut of beef comes from.

Whether you're a new cook or an old pro, you'll love this cookbook.
