When my grandmother (mother's side) died almost a decade now, she had some jewelry on the cabinet left. What my mom did was to distribute it among me and my two other sisters. One of the precious items given to me was this kind of antique gold Orient Jupiter watch. The watch has a small gold circular face, the small gold dots indicate the hours, a stainless steel back and an adorable gold heart shapes wrist band. It has an easy lock system and even so many years have passed the gold doesn't change its appearance. I just occasionally clean it with a wipe out and it shines again like the brand new ones. When it handed to me I just replace it with a brand new circular battery to correct the time. What I like best in this watch is the wrist band portion. It is beautifully designed with small all-gold heart shapes and with a much bigger gold heart shapes with a violet gemstone inside every heart. It is simply designed yet very elegant looking piece.
I love my grandma so much and this piece of jewelry reminds me so much of her. My memories of my childhood and the good and bad times I shared with her.
