Clothing / Sleepwear / Underjams - Help for Bedwetters

When I was growing up, there would occasionally be great uproars in the middle of the night when one or the other of my brothers would wet the bed. Becoming wet would awaken them (too late!) and they would wake up Mom & Dad to report the problem.

My mom never took kindly to being roused from her sleep and required to change the bedding, and find clean pajamas. Who could blame her?

My brothers were perfectly normal in every other way. They just happened to be very sound sleepers. This problem actually persisted longer than one would expect and was humiliating for them.

So now that my recently potty trained grandson has problems, once in a while, with waking up too late, I am so thankful that his mom can prevent middle-of-the-night episodes like the ones in my childhood home.

Pampers Underjams are designed to look just like underwear but they are absorbant. These are the next step up from Pull-ups and afford a bit more dignity to the child who is struggling with bed wetting. Not to mention how they will keep the night-time peaceful as it should be and protect the bedding.

Underjams come in size Small/Medium for children weighing 38 – 65 pounds; and size Large/Extra Large for children who weigh between 58 and 85 pounds. The S/M package contains 27 Underjams, while the L/XL package has 21.

Underjams are a bit pricey, I think, but considering the alternative, I believe they are well worth the cost.

  • I saw the commercial for these and thought it was a great idea, and not as detectable as some of the other protective underwear.
