Computers / Computer Speakers / Altec Lansing BX1020

I was mostly attracted to these Altec Lansing speakers because they're small and unobtrusive. There seem to be a lot of speakers out there that are complicated and bulky. Not these: I hardly notice them on my desktop, and they are very easy and fast to hook up. The sound quality is not stellar, and my husband has endless criticism for them. However, the sound quality isn't terrible; for my purposes, they work just fine. Given how small and inexpensive they are, I think we're lucky to have found anything with this kind of quality! At time they might sound a little bit tinny, but by and large you can hardly notice it. I especially appreciate how there is a headphone jack (and a microphone jack) right on the speakers, so if you want to use these features, you don't have to mess around with plugging devices into the back of your computer.
