I needed to create a professional website for my accounting business. I couldn't afford fancy software, so I decided to try Coffee Cup software, which you can instantly download from their website. At $49.99, it's a great value.
The program itself is very easy to use. It's just a basic program that you happen to create websites with. You do need to know html, php, or whatever you are using to create your site. That being said, the software does come with "snippets" of pre-written code that you can just insert into your site.
For those who aren't as familiar with coding a website, you can use the software's visual editor, which is a basic WYSIWYG editor. My only complaint with it is that you can easily switch back and forth between the two editors. However, the regular html editor has a preview option that allows you to view your work in progress.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Coffee Cup HTML software. It's inexpensive, easy to use, and can do pretty much whatever you need it to do. Coffee Cup also offers other software that compliments the HTML editor, such as a flash menu builder, a site map generator, and others.

I used this program when they first came out with it and at the time it wasn't bad either. I've moved on to Dreamweaver and hand coding most of my designs since, but this is a good entry level program that won't break the bank. Thanks for the info
I'm going to check this out-this sounds perfect for a novice like me!
Oh, I love Coffee Cup. I still use it for web designs. I tried Adobe, but I hate every Adobe software product that's ever come out. Coffee Cup is great for novices, but it's a keeper even when you know what you're doing with scripting.
