I have a disability called Cerebral Palsy also known as CP, which make typing a physically exhausting exercise. I started to look up the more popular Brand name software, such as Dragon Naturally Speaking and IBM Via Voice, but found they were too expensive for my fixed income budget. I had bought Via Voice on Ebay for cheap, but did not have much success getting it to understand me correctly. Upon further research, I discovered most of the disabled people I knew were using Dragon NaturallSspeaking, but no matter where I look it was expensive. I went to Cnet.com, because they have lots of free trial software available, so I thought maybe I would find a free version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, so I could see if it work for me are not before wasting my money. First step it takes you through a tutorial and gives you basic command to repeat, so you understand how to use the program and so it can learn how you speak. The set up is quick and easy, as well as informational. The best way to use this program is to speak in full sentences. The program can also learn how you speak from previous documents you have written on your computer, the more information it has on how you speak, the more accurate it will hear you greatly improve accuracy by using a headset microphone or a microphone array, because they are better at noise cancellation than regular desktop microphone.
