I purchased my Radeon X800 XT PE card 3+ years ago when i was building a new gaming computer. At the time it was the hottest card on the market, and one of the last cards to be made on AGP 8X, today it is pure value card material, but still holds up well to the rigor of games. With 256MB of GDDR3 memory the X800 XT PE packs plenty of storage for high res textures and graphics. It also has all the connections you need with VGA, VIVO (this is S-Video, TV, and HDTV out) and DVI-D. Even on todays hottest games it performs admirably, i averaged 30 frames per second in Crysis on medium. I can also easily play any game a year or so old on all high, BF2142, WoW, etc all run great with all the options set to max. The one problem i have with it involved the ATI Overdrive feature. This allows the card to automatcially overclock while keeping track of the temperatures to keep everything running smooth. Sadly, it tends to overclock too much, then the tempertures rise and the card will crash before the driver clocks it back down. I am not sure if this is something to do with the driver or the card, but it is a minor annoyance. Overall, i would recomend the X800 to anyone looking to pick up a good card for a mid-range computer, especially if the computer in question is limited to AGP graphics cards.
