The Idog is a really cute and interesting device.  My daughter recieved hers as a gift for her Ipod.  The Idog is a speaker for your mp3 players.  It works with most all mp3 players I have a creative zen and it works with it!  Basically you plug in your player and the Idog reacts to the music that plays from your ipod. 

It has different lights that light up while the music is playing to shows different moods based on the music, like hungry, or happy or sad or sleepy.  It interacts with you based on how you respond to it too.  It really is a cute gadget.  it even has clothes that you can buy for and even treat it like Paris Hiltons dog and carry it in a little designer bag.  They also have the Icat, and the Idog I-cy Penguin.  There are several different colors you can get them in so they are good for either boy or girl.

They are a bit expensive and now they have an ampd version of the idog and I see that it is running around 29.99 bucks.  I would however, recommend this for that child on your list that has a mp3 player on becuase it is portable and they serve as a pretty good speaker.  Speaking of the speaker part it sounds pretty good but it is not perfect.  However I think that it is a good investment.
