Electronics / Batteries / Duracell Rechargeable Accu AA Batteries

It seemed foolish and a waste of money that when I go through a set of AA batteries in one of my electronic devices to just go and throw them out.  These rechargeable batteries from Duracell can be used in any electronic device, from remote controls to portable CD players and radios.  It's great to be able to recharge because some of the devices we use use up battery power so fast.  These are much better quality than earlier brands of NiCad (Nickel-Cadmium) batteries.  Instead, Duracell uses NiMH, or Nickel-Metal Hydride technology.  The difference in chemistry inside the battery allows it to hold much more power.  They have quite a long lifespan, and can go through hundreds of charges, before they won't hold a charge and need replaced.  The amount of time it will take you to charge them varies depending on what type of charger unit you have.  The price for a package of rechargeable batteries can be 2 to 3 times as expensive as regular batteries, but it is worth this cost because they can be re-used hundreds of times.
