The Numark DM 1001X Battle Turntable setup is the perfect dual turntable and mixer for the amateur beginner looking to get into DJ or battle mixing. The setup of the dual turntables is fairly easy, and the Numark system provides all the necessary cable connections to make it available to use right out of the box. The system comes with a pair of headphones, but I do find them to be cheap and hard to hear-I recommend buying an upgrade pair. The Numark setup is missing good slipcovers, needles and a microphone, other wise it is fairly complete and ready to go. The sound quality out of the portable speakers is suffice for home listening, but I would never recommend them for any larger, party or battle setups-you will be laughed at! Overall, I personally utilize and encourage anyone looking to get into DJ work to use this basic setup as well.
