I picked up these Labtec Elite 825 headphones after I saw a great deal on them.  Although I primarily use Fontopias (earbuds) while out and about, wearing them all the time can leave the inner ear feeling funny, so a nice set of earcup headphones is comfortable.

Earcup headphones by definition completely surround the ear and the earlobe, so they do a good job of drowning out external sound.  The Labtec Elite 825 headphones are a closed design, meaning that sound does not leak very much -- desirable if you're going to be around other people while using them.  The headphones are stiurdy, padded, and adjustable for various head sizes. 

The Labtec Elite 825 has an independent volume control, which is a definite plus as it will clear up the sound at high volumes.  Good bass with no tinny sound, though these aren't $100+ headphones so audiophiles will likely have gripes.  My only issue is that the cord is 9 feet long, which is a bit excessive for my use, but I'm sure it's a selling point for others. As such, considering the size and length of the cord, these are strictly use-at-home headphones.

Overall a good set of headphones if you can get them at a cheap price.  Labtec is a name you can trust for their quality of low end audio products.
