After living well over a year with playing my Xbox 360 on an unheard of brand 15" HDTV I was more than ready to upgrade. This time my budget was around $400 and I spent weeks and weeks researching the best bang for my buck I could get. I had finally settled on an Insignia 26" HDTV with DVD Player Combo at Best Buy that was on sale for $430. When I arrived they were out of stock and I decided just to look at the other televisions and dream of owning a bigger television since I thought my best chance to get a 26" had passed me by. I was just wandering around and was looking at a 32" television from Dynex when the salesman came up and said "The only one we have in stock has a torn top of the box and I can cut you off 10%, think about it." and he walked away. Dynex seems to be associated somehow with Insignia, which is the Best Buy brand but supposedly the panels are manufactured by LG. It was already on sale for $480, so with 10% off I was essentially getting a 32" TV at a price of an on sale 26" TV, so I bought it. I have used it for just a few weeks and there still have been no problems.

The picture quality look great, and the sound is average to my ears. I will soon be upgrading to a Home Theater system, but for now the television does a fine job. I use it mainly for my Xbox 360, but I am tempted to try it with my laptop just to see it at 32". Overall I couldn't be happier, I doubt you can get a new 32" HDTV for a cheaper price anywhere else and I was lucky to get it at this price. Even for $480 I would recommend it, you just can't get the major brands at this kind of price. It features plenty of inputs and viewing modes, it looks just as good as my parents 32" Sony Bravia.
