Electronics / LCD Televisions / Sharp LC-15AV4U

This particular LCD TV was bought a couple of years ago while looking for a small, lightweight TV for a dorm room.  This is a role it fulfills quite well.  Its biggest advantages are its size and weight, although this is an obvious trade-off, since it is only a 15-inch TV.

This TV has a pretty good picture.  It supports 480p, or progressive scan, but no true hi-def resolutions, but that's really not a problem, since hi-def wouldn't be noticeable on such a small screen.  The real problem is that the TV only has one set of component inputs, so if you want more than one progressive device, you'll need a selector of some sort.  However, odds are this won't be a main TV, so hopefully it won't be an issue.

As a secondary TV, this is a pretty good choice, but it suffers in any other role thanks to its size.  Don't buy it for a proper living room where you have actual distance to watch something.
