I purchased the bowflex 4 years ago when I was on the road alot and my husband wanted to workout but couldn't get to the gym with two small children. We got the leg attachment with the home gym and we were given the poster and video to teach us how to get the most out of the home gym.
The ads say 2 or 3 days a week and you can be bulked up and slimmed down and loose several dress sizes....yeah right! Maybe if you worked out 4 or 5 days a week, changed your diet, and took a diet pill you might actually make it in 6 to 9 months down the road...
As far as the actual equipment, it was fairly easy to use except for the leg raise...you had to pull pretty hard to connect the pully to the leg equipment. My husband didn't like the fact that there wasn't the possibility of adding weight to the system...you were stuck with what came on the machine.

it seems to be a pretty popular machine.
Hmmm, that's a lot of money for something that seems so unsatisfactory. Sorry you had to be the one to find out for us.
LOL, the commercials are always so optimistic. Glad to know it has done some good for you though:0)
