Scrabble Junior

Scrabble Junior is a fun yet educational board game for kids ages 5 and up. If you enjoy the original Scrabble game, then get your dictionary and get ready to spell! There is both a beginner and advanced version included. We have so much fun playing this game and as a Mom I know my son is learning too!

Beginners use the colorful side with pre-printed words. Each player draws seven letter tiles and the rest are placed in a draw pile. Each turn a player lays down two tiles either beginning a word or placing down the next consecutive letter in a word and draws two more tiles. When your tile completes a word, you get a scoring chip. The player with the most scoring chips at the end is the winner.

The advanced version is played on the reverse side on a blank grid. Each player lays down tiles to form at least a two letter word and the next player must form a word connected to it. You get one point for each tile in each word completed. The player with the most points wins when all of the tiles are used or no more words can be made.
