-It was part of a cycle. Dark Ritual was one to cast black that made three black mana. Ancetral Recall was one to cast blue and allowed a player of your choice to draw three cards. Lightning Bolt was one to cast red and allowed you to deal three damage to a target. Healing Salve was one to cast white and allowed you to gain three life or prevent three damage from a target. Giant Growth on the other hand gave a three bonus to the creature's power and toughness.

Uses of Giant Growth

-It could be used to protect creatures from attacks or from direct damage spells.

-It could be used offensively to deal three extra damage to the opponent.

The Verdict

Giant Growth is one of my most favorite cards. It is very low to cast and very efficient. Furthermore, it is very affordable as it is only a common so new players can easily access it. Giant Growth has been a staple in green decks since the icneption of Magic the Gathering.
