I have to admit, when the DS first came out I wasn't too excited about it. Touch screen just seemed so gimmicky and I did not think it catered to hardcore gamers such as myself. But as games began trickling in, and more and more of my friends bought it, I realized how fun it is. Instead of being a gimmick, I think the touch screen is something that's revolutionary. It makes so many games have an added layer of depth that wouldn't be able to be accomplished without it. The game library for the DS is also magnificent. I own both the PSP and DS and I put much more time playing on my DS. The PSP, although having a more powerful system, just isn't as fun as the DS. I would recommend the DS to anyone of all ages who want a handheld video game. It is a joy to play.
