Gaming / Video Game Consoles / Wii, Wii, Wii, all the way home

Here and there we have been hearing about the Wii system, but I didn't pay much attention to it until my husband walked me through Best Buy, a computer and electronics store in our area. Actually it has been the plasma and LCD T.V.s that have caught my attention when I walk into the store. However, when I look at the price (about 1300 dollars), I turn away and lose all need to shop there.

But, my husband always drags me to the back to look at the Wii sports model, which is set up in the corner for customers to try. Finally, I realized that my husband wanted a system. He was intrigued by the sensors, which made him feel like he was in the game. Best Buy has their system loaded with Mario Kart. It was amazing that he could sway with the controller in his hand and that the cart would move with his body.

So I decided to get the Wii Console. It was then that I realized the popularity of this game. The consoles in Best Buy were gone within one day. I went to a place callled Game Spot. They didn't have a single game console. I checked Walmart and every store I could think of in our valley. Not one of these stores had game consoles. Then I went to the internet. Even then as I looked I found that this game console with Sport was SOLD OUT.

After two weeks of looking, we finally found one console at Best Buy. We quickly snagged it before anyone else.

There are a lot of bits and pieces to this game console, but the directions are easy and my husband had not trouble putting it together.

Warning: If you are not in good physical shape, the games on Sport can make you very stiff. I hurt my toe by playing too enthusiastically.

I love this game console. The Wii is what I have been waiting for since I first saw Star Trek, Star Wars, and all the other sci-fi movies. It gets you off the couch. You have fun. And, need I say? you get a little exercise.
