The XBox 360 is Microsoft's second attempt in the videogame industry. The first part I'll go over is the hardware itself. There's been a lot of criticizing on the now legendary "Red Ring Of Death". It was/is a problem, but not as big as people make it out to be. The majority of consoles now work fine, and Microsoft extended all the warranties the three yearsm so even if there is a problem, you can send it in and have it replaced by Microsoft. The only other complaint I have is the noise, which can be a little annoying when it's reading a disc. The controller is a nice change from the first. It feels great in your hands and the buttons are well palced. One of the biggest changes from the original XBox's controller is the removal of the black and white buttons and the added left and rigth bumpers. This system is much better than the previous and everything is easily accessible. The wireless part of it can be a little glitch when turning it on, but that happens rarely and the rest of the time the signal is fine, with almost no lag. The game selection might be the biggest reason to get the 360 over other game consoles though. Some of the best games on it right now are: Oblivion, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Saints Row, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, The Orange Box, etc. The lineup for '08 is nice as well. GTA4, APB, Saints Row 2, Endwar, Mercenaries 2, Fable 2, Halo Wars, Fallout 3, etc. Overall the 360 is a nice system that has slight advantages over it's competition in terms of game selection and online services.
