Gaming / Video Games / An ok expansion to an amazing game.

expansion pc bethsada image

The fourth installment of the Elderscrolls series, Oblivion, was an amazing game that broke the mold when it came to RPG games and how wonderful games could look. Continuing on, Bethsada released an expansion pack to the already amazing game to add some more depth to it. Unfortunately…this expansion really lacks.

The story around this time is that you come upon a massacre at a church. You learn of the crusaders of the nine divines, a group of knights for the nine divines. Once you track them down and earn all of their pieces of armor, you set out to destroy the monster who massacred the nine knights.

The gameplay remains the same from Oblivion, but there is an add on of new dungeons to explore, new monsters to fight, new weapons to try out and now you can get armor for your horses. Sounds amazing right?

Nah..not really. The expansion really only lasts you a few hours and there’s not much more to do in it. The Nine’s armor is amazing and I still wear it in my game, but the last boss is lack luster, the horse armor is kind of dumb and the other dungeons are really cool.

It’s an alright expansion, but it sure won’t keep you occupied for long. If you own the PS3 it’ll come with your game already, but if you own the Xbox360, go ahead and but the new expansion and get both games in one. Either than that, it’s passible for the time.
