video games review image

This Batman game for Gameboy was based on the first Batman movie in 1989 which starred Jack Nicholson as the Joker and Michael Keaton as the Batman. In this video game, you are equipped with a batgun and take out the Joker's minions before taking out the Joker himself. The Joker is an insane villain who is into a life of thievery and crime.

The game has pretty decent graphics and sound for a gameboy game. Here you simply jump, duck and shoot your way to four levels. You also have powerups such as a laser gun and a batarang shield. The villains are mostly generic save for the Joker. The only thing though is Batman abhors using guns because of the way his parents were killed so this doesn't make sense.

The game is quite difficult but the game has some good points such as being able to use the batjet and the excellent cutscenes. The game however doesn't follow the movie to the tee and has some elements not in the movie.

I recommend this game to Batman fans however this game is just average in my opinion.
