Gaming / Video Games / Batman the Animated Series for Gameboy

review series video image

This gameboy Batman game sticks closely to the Batman the animated Series roots. The look of the characters, villains and cutscenes closely reflect the animation style of the series. Each stage is uniquely designed according to the personality of the villain at the end of the stage. Mr, Freeze's stage for example is a city covered in ice with snow machines and Poison Ivy's stage looks like a jungle complete with venus flytraps. Here are the stages in order.

1) Joker stage

2) Scarecrow stage

3) Mr. Freeze stage

4)Catwoman stage

5) Poison Ivy stage

6) The Riddler

7)The Penguin

8) The Joker

The Verdict

I enjoyed the game very much as the game included seven of Batman's most famous foes. I wish they included villains such as Bane and ManBat as well. The graphics and sound were pretty good and were truly reflective of the animated series. The difficulty level though was designed for children and the game was too easy. Also the game doesn't have much replay value as once the game is finished, it is done and you just get an ending.
