Gaming / Video Games / Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty 4 is the first in the popular Call of Duty series to not take place in World War 2.  This time they brought the action to modern times, and it turned out great.  The single player has a decent story, but it is very short, around 4-6 hours depending on your skill level and the difficulity you play it at.  My biggest complaint with the single player is the insane diffuculty of the Veteran mode.  Unless you're a very experienced and good player you'll get extremely frustrated when you die every three seconds.  The multiplayer is really where this game shines though.  You start off with only basic weapons and pre-determined clases, but as you progress in rank you unlock the ability to create your own class, new weapons, weapon add-ons, weapon camoflauge, and new perks.  All of these add a ton of re-playability to the game, and the prestige mode which allows you to reset your level once you get to the top multiplies it.  The graphics are the best on a first person shooter so far, especially if you have a HDTV.  Overall, this is probably the best shooter on the 360 right now and definitely worth a purchase if you're a fan of the genre or series.
