Its Math time...

One video game I downloaded from the internet for my kids' Nintendo DS Lite is this MATH PLAY by Natsume Inc. I preferred downloading games that will help them practice their school topics so that they will learn while playing. Math is one of the major subjects and I wanted my kids to practice their speed and accuracy in solving Math problems. As they say, constant practice makes it perfect.

Math Play features four modes:

Drill Mode - In this mode the player needs to rearrange a set of cards to create an equation. Touch a card and it will flip over to turn into an equal sign that will help complete the equation. Kids will practice forming an equation here which eventually helps them master the Math operations.
Equal Shuffle Mode - In here there will be two players who will compete. The way to win is to use all the cards on hand first against the opponent. How? The cards on hand need to create an equation equal to the cards on the table. Touch the card to flip it over and turn into equal sign.
Equal Match Mode - The player needs to play a card or equation here that matches the number or color discarded.
Equal Nine Mode - In order for a player to win here, he needs to create an equation closest to nine (9) without going over.

For me, I find the Equal Nine Mode quite challenging. Check it out and find what makes you sweat and lose over time.
