Skate is a great skateboarding game. The skateboarding genre of video games has had one major game for many years now. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater has been really the only skateboarding game worth while. Skate changes all of that. Skate takes the genre in a new direction, it tries to offer a more realistic approach to skateboarding games. Most of this is an illusion given by the very innovative control scheme. Unlike Tony Hawk there are very few button presses in the game, most of the actions are done by flicking the right analog stick in an ollie motion. The motion of your finger changes the trick. After an hour of playing the control method feels perfect. I have played most every Tony Hawk game since the first one and I believe Skate is a much better skating experience. If your a fan of skateboarding Skate is a must buy.
