I was hoping that Wii Play would be just as great as Wii Sports.  Upon first glance, I noticed that a Wii Remote was bundled with the software.  But wait!  A Wii Remote costs a whopping $40 at WalMart.  So, does that mean that Wii Play is actually bundled with the Wii Remote.  I immediately asked myself, "Should I buy this?  Or should I just buy the Wii Remote and buy 10 Chicken McNuggets at McDonald's?" since the software appeared to be worth only $10.  There are 9 mini-games to play in this game:  Shooting, Find Mii, Pose Mii, Laser Hockey, Billiards, Fishing, Table Tennis, Cow Riding (Charge!), and Combat (Tanks!).  I must say that "Shooting", "Billiards", and "Combat" were the games that I had the most fun playing.  Billiards was clearly the best, it had the most depth.  Sadly, the game lacked some sparkle that Wii Sports had.  For one, you could only have 2 players for all the games.  Shooting, Find Mii, and Fishing were all games that could have been so much more fun than there was.  Wii Sports had a few games in which you could have four players, and that is what made that a party game, not a sports game.  Wii Play should thrive on letting the player play with the whole family, and it didn't make it so you could do that.  However, these are incredibly high standards for a $10 game, and it is definitely better than some of the Virtual Console and Wii Ware titles that are worth 1000 Points or more.  Great value for a little game, and that's why it gets a 5 for content.
