Last summer we decided to add a patio area under our deck in the backyard. It was not a huge area so we decided to look for something that we could do ourselves. While strolling through the garden department of Lowes, we found the Oldcastle square pinnacle stones and thought they might do the trick. They comes in a nice large 16 x 16 size and the pattern on the stones make it look like it is 8 different stones lined up together. We first cleard the area old grass and rocks and got it as flat as we could. We then laid down a 1 inch layer of sand as we were told by the Lowes employee to do for drainage. It was then as easy as deciding what the pattern we wanted to look like was and laying them down so that they butted up against each other. We then used a level to make sure they were flat and even and if they were not, we added or took away sand under it until it was. In a few hours we had a beautiful patio that looks like stamped concrete and we did it ourselves.
Oh man! I'd love to see your finished product!
We want to see the finished patio! :) V:)
I like the looks of this. This would improve the value of any property!
