I have a medical condition that causes my eyes to be dry.  I use regular eye drops throughout the day, but they aren't enough.  I asked my ophthamologist about it and she gave me some samples of GenTeal Lubricating Eye Gel.  It's a preservative free, sterile product that is made for severe dry eye relief.

I don't use this product during the day because it blurs my vision for a good twenty minutes after using it, so I use it right before bed time.  This is how most people use this product, according to my doctor.

It's different from other lubricating gels for the eyes in that it goes in your eyes like drops.  Other gels are thick, sticky and difficult to get into your eyes. My eyes feel better right away after using them and I've found that I wake up with my eyes feeling better, too.

My only complaint is that they are just a bit messy to use. After putting the drops into your eyes, they tend to ooze a bit and I find myself wiping my face.  This could be from me using too much, though.  You really do need very little of this product and it's very effective.
