Recently my mattress has been making me feel like I'd been beaten black and blue while I was sleeping, it had just become so uncomfortable and pretty much impossible to sleep on. So I decided it was time to get a new one but I didn't have a lot of money to spend on one.

I went to a local mattress store that I knew had great prices and wouldn't you know it, they were sold out of just about everything they had in stock. They didn't have anything available in my price range and didn't know when they would be getting another shipment. Shockingly the owner actually gave me a suggestion to go to another store that was across the street. He said that Big Lots sold pretty good mattresses at lower prices.

I have been in Big Lots a couple of times but honestly wasn't impressed but decided to give it a try because I really did need a new mattress like yesterday. My Fiance' and I walked in and headed over to the furniture department and located the mattresses. It turned out that not only did they have some really great prices they were also giving you the boxspring for just 10.00 with the purchase of the mattress. We were helped promptly by a sales clerk, picked out the mattress I wanted and asked if he could hold it for us until we could come back with my dad's truck. He said it was no problem and they could hold it for up to a month if we needed them to! We didn't need it to be held that long but it was nice to know.

So I get my mattress home, get it set up and have been sleeping on it for a week now. I am sleeping so much better and the mattress is very comfortable. It's not as plush as a more expensive model might be but it is a lot better quality than I expected for the money I paid. So the next time you are in need of a mattress and don't have a lot of money to spend on it, check out your local Big Lots and see if they can help you!
