Before having wooden floors, I used to have carpets in my living room and dining room. Unlike a wooden floor that easily clean and cleared anything with a wipe of a mop mixed in with a floor cleaning product, taking care of a carpet take a lot of maintenance and upkeep, especially when trying to prvent  a noty so nice a not so nice odor.

Sometimes when I have company over, a visitor is a smoker and one thing I don't like a house smelling like cigarettes. Another thing is having a pet lying around and you can easily smell the pet odor that can be hard to clear up.

To fix this problem I use Glade Melon Burst Carpet & Odor Eliminator. This Glade product is a nice sizable (squeezable) product that is good to use for at least for three to four months, depending on how much you consume. The top of the product has several holes on top of it (think Ajax) and you can turn the top around to sprinkle the formula on a carpet.

First I'd sprinkled lightly since I didn't want to have such a strong smell. As stated on the directions, I had waited for a few minutes for it to set deeply in the carpet then vacuum. After vacuuming I was happy as a pleasant melon that reminds of sweet candy sink though not only the carpet but the whole room itself and well after a day went by the scent were still there.
