Let me just say hands down, this is the BEST rice steamer I have ever owned. That may be due to the superior quality of the unit, or the fact that I have only owned one rice steamer in my entire life. They could not make it any easier to use, you simply measure out the number of servings you want with the included measuring cup, then fill the bowl with to that number on the side. After that, just plug the unit in and turn it from "Keep Warm" to "Cook." That's it! Now you can sit back and do whatever you want for about 10 minutes while the rice steams. When it's done, just let it sit for a few minutes then open that bad boy up (careful, steam may come out!) Take the included serving spoon and mix up that freshly steamed, fluffy delicious rice. The unit automatically flips back from "Cook" to "Keep Warm" when it's done cooking, and will then keep the rice warm for up to 24 hours. It comes with a condensation catcher for the spoon and lid, so there is virtually no mess to clean up. The cooking bowl is coated with some magical substance that is almost too easy to clean. The unit feels solid and durable, it has even dropped off the counter once and it still lives and cooks rice today. I firmly back this product, and would recommend it to any college student looking for an easy cheap meal when the dining halls are closed. I would also recommend it to lovers of rice, lovers of steamed vegetables, and anyone who likes to cook cheap stuff fast and easy.
