I have gotten so spoiled by my cozy chair and ottoman. I love to curl up in my overstuffed chair and read, with my feet resting on the matching hassock. But what happens when I go on vacation to the coast? There's an overstuffed chair, but no footstool.
I found just the solution. While shopping at WalMart recently, I found something that could kill two birds with one stone. Since we travel by van to the seaside house we love to rent, obviously we can take more items than when we fly. But we already take groceries, paper goods, CD players, computers, beach umbrellas, etc. So space is at a premium. We really know how to fill up the Honda!
The item I found is an ottoman that can also be used as storage. The top comes off and we can pack additional items inside. Even a space-conscious husband couldn't argue with that! LOL!
It has a red brushed-suede appearance, and when it's not in use, I keep it in my study, where I have a chair the same color. So that turned out great.
I am so happy that now when I go on vacation, I can also put my feet up and relax. That's what vacations are for, right?
