After 7 years of working in Law Enforcement I know the things that can happen and how quick they can happen. My boyfriend is a police officer and right now we arent always home at the same time.
I have always wanted an alarm system I just thought they were to expensive. Much to my surprise I started calling around to the different companies for the best deals. For us this was the best deal with the most to offer for our household.
We ended up with glass break detectors with speakers in all of our bedrooms. Switches on all 3 of our outside doors that will indicate if someone either opens the door or breaks the glass. There is full motion detector all points of entry in the house.
The keypad has been installed right by the front door which makes it easy to hit the button and go. I think the kepypad is very user friendly and easy to use. It features a police, fire and medical one touch button. All you do is hit the button that you need and the alarm company will automatically dispatch them to your residence. The service costs 29.99 a month and we ended up with a 150.00 break a year on our homeowners insurance. I really like it alot, I use it every day even during the day when I am home alone and thats all I need to feel safe.

You really got a nice break from your homeowner's insurance!
Sounds great, especially the deduction in your homeowner's insurance. That alone pays for 5 months for the security service!
That's really good for a security system. I never knew they were so affordable. It's something definitely for everyone to look into!
