Household / Irons / Great Travel Iron

We do a lot of traveling and one of the things I always pack is my Sunbeam Garment Iron. My friend bought it for me as a gift after I was complaining about how wrinkled our clothes got in the suitcases.

Using The Sunbeam Garment Iron

My first thought was I don't do much ironing at home; I sure as heck don't want to do it on vacation! But that's the great thing, you don't actually "iron" the clothes, you steam the wrinkles out.

To use you first remove the handle, detach the reservoir, pour in the water (tap is okay), place it back in and then plug it in. In less than a minute, it's ready to use!

I have found the best way to use the Sunbeam Garment Iron is the hang up the item you want to press from a hook (or over a door) so that it is at eye level or a bit above. Pull the clothing taunt and slowly go down the item as you press the steam button every couple of inches. Once you are finished you simply flip the hanger around and repeat on the other side.

It usually only takes one time on each side unless the garment is thick (like a jacket) where it may take a couple passes per side. After using, just slip it back into the included travel pouch.

Note:
Remember to pressing the steam button only every couple of inches (not hold it down fulltime) to keep the garment from getting too wet.

Lint and Drapes

Besides traveling the Sunbeam Garment Iron is great for using at home. It is really lightweight and let's you steam out clothing, drapes and tablecloths quickly.

On the side of the handle, there is a red lint remover so you can be both lint and wrinkle free! While it doesn't work as well as the sticky lint rollers, it is great in a pinch and lets you pack one less thing.

The Sunbeam Garment Iron is a really handy tool for both traveling and at home.
