Ott-lite technology brings daylight into your home. Whether you need good lighting for your crafting projects, or for reading and studying, you will be amazed at the difference this light can make!
Developed by Dr. John Ott, a photobiologist, millions of Ott-lite lamps have been sold as people discover how much easier they are on the eyes than the standard incandescent bulb.
The special bulbs also use less energy than standard bulbs which, these days, is an important consideration.
Personally, now that I have used the Ott-Lite for sewing, knitting, and reading, I seriously can’t stand using regular lighting. I love the bright, natural look and the way it reduces eye strain for me.
Perhaps the price of these lamps seems high to you, but believe me, the Ott-lite can enhance your sight and enable you to read and work longer. To me, that makes it well worth the extra money spent!
Check out their website here, it is very interesting and informative. It even includes the scene from Disney’s movie “Cinderella” of a pumpkin turning into a carriage. Apparently, Dr. Ott is the father of time- lapse photography and was the creator of that magical scene. I LOVE my Ott-lite and I promise you will too!

I have a similar one of these and love it when I do crafts. Much easier on the eyes and it helps me to see the colors of papers better.
I purchased an ott-lite for my son for school work. While I, and more importantly he, likes the actual light the stand has a very odd design, did not last long at all and has to be clamped to stand upright. I am very displeased that we had to fix the stand to use the light... especially since it is the most expensive lamp in my home!
I think the Ott lights are the best. I have one and absolutely love it. I have lupus so sometimes light really bothers my eyes -- but not the Ott light!
