Since my seventeen year old daughter decided she wants to be a fashion designer, (who doesn't, after seeing Project Runway creations?!) it was apparent that she would need to learn to sew. I am a firm believer in nurturing my childrens' interests, so off we went to go sewing machine shopping. (It didn't hurt, of course, that I've been wanting a new machine for myself since mine hasn't worked properly for years.) I couldn't be happier with the choice we made.
This sewing machine practically sews by itself. Really! To begin with, it has a built in needle threader, which is very important for those of us whose eyes aren't all they used to be. It also has a one-step buttonhole maker. Amazingly, all you need to provide is a correctly sized button, and this machine makes the button hole itself.
A lot of thought has gone into the design and usability of this sewing machine and, truly, if you are in the market for a sewing machine please check out the Viking Emerald at husqvarnaviking.com.
Sewing machines sure have come a long way!
These are really nice machine. We play with them all the time in Joanns, they have a great selection there. Makes me want to learn to sew.
I love my Viking! I have a different model, but think you can't go wrong with this brand. Thanks for sharing your experience!
