Household / Water Heaters / Defender Heats our Water!
Last fall we had to install a new water heater as our old one was acting up from a build up of calcium in the bottom. My husband checked around and decided he wanted to go with the Bradford White Defender Energy Safety System 50 gallon gas fired hot water heater.
The hard part was hauling the old one from our basement as it weighed a ton from the buildup inside. Putting the new one in didn't take my husband and brother-in-law too long and before I knew it was enjoying hot water again.
The major features of this model are:
Advance flame arrester design
Resetteble thermal switch to prevent burner/pilot operation w/restricted airflow
Piezo igniter
Sight window to observe operation of the pilot & burner
Brass drain valve
Maintenance free
We've had absolutely no problems with this water heater and would highly recommend it. We did have a little leak the first day but that was the installer's fault (my husband) and was fixed with new piping. I can now run the dishwasher and take a shower at the same time!!

Alice we never truly appreciate the comforts of having a nice hot bath until our water heaters go out on us:) This sounds like an excellent replacement. I like the window so you can visually check the burner status.
Nothing better than being able to run the dishwater AND enjoy a hot shower at the same time!!!
