I simply LOVE my Dyson! We purchased one after using my mom's, and have loved it ever since. First of all, it is one of the more expensive vaccums on the market, but don't let that scare you off. I promise you will use it forever! I know so many people who buy a new vacuum every year because their el-cheapo vacuum has stopped picking things up. We have had our Dyson two years and it still works as well now as it did the day we brought it home. We have two cats, and they shed a lot, and it always amazes me how much cat fur comes up off the floor every day! This vacuum does not use filters, and the canister is very easy to empty right into the garbage can. The attachments are SO easy to use and are located right on board. This is the first vacuum I've ever had that I've actually used the attachments because they are so easy to use! The only thing that I would have to say negative about this vacuum is that it is sometimes difficult to pick up larger chunks (like Cheerios) because the vacuum rides so close the the floor. This is really a minor annoyance as it is so easy to get out the hose and just suck them up that way. I wouldn't give up my Dyson for a million bucks, and I think it will be the only vacuum I ever buy!
